But, with good reason, we moved! Our new place is practically in the same neighborhood, but I like it SO MUCH BETTER. It’s smaller, but the design is much more thoughtful– I don’t miss the lost space.
The windows here are beautiful, lots of nice natural light.
There is also a DISHWASHER (the kitchen is generally AMAZING, which will no doubt leave more time for art, yay!)
The studio is really really awesome too:
I’ll take better pictures of it soon, that’s the best i can do today. We’ve got lots of artwork to hang, and we’re almost done unpacking. Then, finally, I can make some more artwork. (confession: it’s been awhile) All I have to share today are some weird little sketchbook doodles. Enjoy! and, I promise I’ll post more now that we’re getting settled

I’m officially endorsing Barack Obama. Since this is an Art-not-Politics blog, I drew a picture and messed with it in photoshop:
I voted yesterday in the NC Primary (my 1st primary!) Vote Vote Vote!!! Obama’s in town tonight, and I have tickets to go see him speak. If I make it, I’ll be sure to tell you all about it. Yay Vote!
I am the featured designer this month at The Shiny Squirrel! Jessica picked out some of her favorites to offer for sale in her (totally amazing) shop. The Shiny Squirrel has prints and originals from all types of artists and designers, and I am really flattered to be in the company of so many artists that I admire.
I have several original pieces for sale, including an edition of 9 original serigraphs (silkscreens). Go check out my work, and be sure to browse around the shop for all the other little wonders!
That’s right! I now have affordable fine art giclee prints of my work available for sale. Preview below, shop for my prints!
I opened up a Dawanda shop, to make it easier to do business outside of the US. If you’re a visitor from Europe, please give the new shop a visit! I’m totally excited about connecting with a broader audience. I’m hatching all sorts of plans, so keep updated for exciting developments!
Etsy made me their featured seller last week. I did an interview, which was intimidating. My first real interview. The questions were good and answering them made me think a lot about what I’m doing. You can read it here.
I added the new series, Technicolor, to my art store and the gallery. These remind me that Spring is just around the corner, and I just can’t wait.
Here is a sneak peek at some new work, as part of the new show. Art is always better when you see the real thing. If you live in Charlotte, come out on Saturday night. I’ll put the invitation below, in case you missed it.

SEE YOU THERE!!!
I’ve been busy getting ready for my show this weekend, and I’m really excited about it. Yesterday I hauled all the new work up to Shine Salon. With the invaluable help of my friend, mentor, and former teacher, Cordelia Williams, we hung 40 PIECES!!! (Cordelia is an amazing artist and it would be time well spent to go visit her website and view some of her incredible work
)
…with all the hustle bustle, I’ve only had time to doodle:
