We had a weekend-long-going-away party for Michael. I took LOTS of pictures, and LOTS of videos. Here are the panoramic photos, because I think they look nice all together like this. I made a big new album of pictures, Michael 2008. I used to photograph people a lot, but it’s been awhile. How about you go check them out. And…Michael, I’ll miss you.

 Michael’s been my best friend forever.  (BFF!!!)  He’s moving back to Philly next week and we’ve been spending extra time together before he has to go.  I also made him model for me, and those pictures will be up soon.  For now here’s three pictures that Robert took of us last weekend.  I think we look like brother and sister.

Hello! I’m cleaning house around here, and putting everything in its right place. I added lots of new stuff to the gallery today:

• works on paper (63 new items)
• works on board ( 21 new items)
• a few new collages (8 new items)

Not quite neon, not entirely a pastel, these vibrant paintings fall in a place between all that and for me it’s one of my favorite places right now as I’m so inspired lately by pastels turned up a few notches. Etsy calls this trend Nu Rave Neon.

What makes the art of Brandi Strickland so appealing in addition to the obvious is that these are original watercolors (not prints!) and they are under $100. These are the artists to look for on Etsy when you want to start an art collection, reasonable and beautiful work that is one-of-a-kind. I love my prints, don’t get me wrong, but nothing is as precious as an original piece of work in my opinion. We Grow On Trees and Home is Where are my absolute favorites, punchy, happy, lots of personality. –Decor8
